Grove School is a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade public elementary school district located in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Grove School has been a leader in educating students in Pottawatomie county for over 118 years. Located on the outskirts of Shawnee, Oklahoma, our community school sits on twelve acres. 
Grove School provides rigorous full day educational programs for ten grade levels, prekindergarten through eighth grade, while maintaining a small school nurturing environment. The average student population ranges from 400-425, allowing a teacher student ratio of 1:18.
With a staff of highly qualified and caring individuals, Grove provides a safe educational environment with high academic expectations for student success.
Student Achievements
  • Grove students have regularly hit “Benchmark” on the Education Oversight Board/Office of Accountability School Report Card in all six areas of student performance
  • Grades six and seven have met or exceeded benchmark with at least 25% scoring “Advanced” and 70% scoring “Satisfactory” in all subjects
  • 2008-2010, 87% of eighth grade students scored in the “Advanced” category with 100% scoring “Satisfactory” or above in Math
  • 2009-2010, 100% of eighth grade students scored “Satisfactory” or above in Science
  • 100% of Algebra I students pass the Algebra I End of Instruction Test for High School Credit
  • Over the past five years Grove School’s API scores average 130 points above the state average
  • 2005-2006, Grove School scored 1403 on the API (223 points above the state average)
